I've always enjoyed the underdog, the Martyr’s of history, they have always played an important roll in the creation of change. It starts with one voice, one belief. They may be good, they may be bad, but Martyr’s inspire change, from Joan of ark to Ghandi to Martin Luther King, all of whom inspired action and died for their causes. Their cause never ends at their death, the changes they have made and also the doors they have opened remain ajar for those who follow. It is not who we are but what we do to change the world that resonates throughout eternity. It is that ideal that inspired the series, to show one rising up against a united two kingdoms, but to ultimately fail, but leave the viewer open to the idea of inspiring action for their own beliefs.
